"Highly recommended"

This year I experienced the Wilderness side of Tassie after experiencing the Eastern side. My experience was absolutely fantastic in every way. I was a solo traveller but felt very comfortable with the other 7 travellers in my group. I have absolutely no negative comments to make.

Ben our driver was fantastic along with a lot of local knowledge.
The highlight for me was on our last day when we had snow falls all day. What an absolute treat it was. It was like travelling through a winter wonderland. We stopped along the way for some play time and snow fight which certainly brought out the child in me.

Lunch was at like a Swish Chalet where the snow just kept falling.
I would definitely recommend Fan Tassie Tours and even though I have been twice now in 2 years I am definitely not finished with Tasmania yet.

Experience Tassie with a man who knows and loves it

We chose the 5 day West Coast tour because a friend had done it, and when I checked the itinerary, it seemed extremely good value for so much that was included. Morgan looked after our booking, and gave lots of extra advice and tips, which was very helpful. He booked extra nights at our accommodation each end, which meant cheaper rates and included brekkie.
We covered so much ground, and did so many short walks through hugely varying bush and country. Morgan has worked in many fields around Tasmania and clearly loves it all and loves sharing his knowledge and love of every place we came to.
I was keen to see a platypus in the wild, and he made a point of visiting every possible place he knew of, and we were rewarded with about 10 minutes of watching a platypus leisurely swimming along the creek, surfacing and diving as we followed along the edge. What a treat! Morgan's sharp eyes also picked out a white echidna by the side of the road - he turned back to investigate, and we were treated to several minutes of observing it right up close. Then there were the wombats, the gardens, the snow monkeys, the history of the huon pine, the leatherwood tree and leatherwood honey, the afternoon tea with leatherwood honey shortbread - so much to see and enjoy and learn.
Fun Tassie Tours commits to go ahead with a tour once you book - we only had 4 people on our tour, which was fantastic.

"amazing"

We had the most amazing tour from Launceston to Hobart with Morgan and trainee Ben. They took us to the most amazing places, we would never have known about if travelling independently, and had so much knowledge and passion about all things Tasmanian.

FT Tours were welcoming, efficient and creatively helpful. Good, well conducted and sensitive organisation.
Know their schedules and options very well. Morgan Wilson and Dean Huff are good operators, personable and very helpful. Dean is an incredible guide, - knowledgeable, deeply well researched and genuinely passionate about flora, fauna, culture, social and economic life of the island; + he has good relationships with tourism operators and suppliers all over Tasmania.
Both East and West Coast tours were exceptional value. Highlight - Wall in the Wilderness (Must See). Gold Rush Inn in Queenstown was a pleasant surprise - another very well operated business.
Thank you to ALL involved operators and guests.

An experience to behold!

This was a birthday trip for my 10 year old son, we created such wonderful memories together of our first time visiting Tasmania. We toured with Fun Tassie Tours and completed the 4 day western wilderness tour. Our guide was Carl, and he was such a lovely host and very knowledgeable, sharing interesting facts along the way. My son's highlight was seeing a wombat in nature for the first time at Cradle Mountain. Fun Tassie Tours went out of their way to spoil my son for his birthday with cake and tea as well as an experience at the Devil Feeding facility in Cradle Mountain. He thoroughly enjoyed this and I believe he will hold onto these memories for a lifetime! Thank you to Morgan and his team for all their personal attention, kindness and guidance from start to finish of our booking and tour. We hope to see you again in the future for another adventure with Fun Tassie Tours! I would highly recommend them to anyone considering a tour in Tasmania :)
